Take a second and think about the one thing that promotes attraction the most. I’ll give you a hint. The answer is not physical looks, wealth, having things in common, or even the person’s personality. I know, it’s crazy right? The answer is actually proximity. Study after study finds that most people tend to become attracted to people who are physically close to them. The theory is called the mere exposure effect, and it states that we tend to become attracted to a novel stimuli if it was repeated over and over again. I am sure you once saw a very attractive person who caught your attention while passing by your car, then you never saw him/her again. Why do most people forget about that very attractive person a few days later? Simply because they never see that person again. If the stimuli wasn’t reinforced we tend to forget about it even if we liked it. It really is true. Just talking to someone a lot can do so much. You may not even see it coming. But If you spend a considerable amount of time with someone, you could be friends one day, and before you know it, you’ve completely fallen head over heals in love with each other. Maybe this has happened to you. You can’t fight it, but why would you want to? It’s a beautiful thing, really.

Pacey: You know, for a bright girl, you can be really daft sometimes. Why do you think I came here?
Joey: I don’t..
Pacey: I came here to be with you! It’s as simple as that! When you like somebody, proximity is a good thing. Regardless of how the feel about you. Or don’t, if that’s the case maybe.

My day started as my parents and I went to the hospital for my last day of anti-rabies vaccine. At that time, I was angry with my dad ‘cos he deleted the video I had while playing Yiruma’s Reason, one of my favorite pieces. I know it’s not gonna happen again soon because our upright piano and organ were broken and I haven’t got a copy of it yet. *Aww*
But then after a few minutes, I saw my nurse crush! Oh yeah, I have soft spots with guys in a nurse/doctor uniform. Whenever I get into a hospital, there will always be a nurse that I would like. :3
*Poof* My mood swung so fast. I’m as happy as a Labrador taking a bath.
The first time I had a crush on him was on my second vaccination day. There was a girl nurse who was fascinated with my name and she shared it with a guy nurse beside her, nurse crush. He was also fascinated by it and kept on saying my name repeatedly. I was like “Ohmygosh, he’s so cute.”
Supposedly, crush nurse should be the one injecting the vaccine on me. However, I got shy and went to the girl nurse! How sly. *(>___<)*
On the last day, seeing him again really made me happy. He was on the gateway when I entered. Then, when I was already inside, waiting for my turn to be injected, our paths met again. He asked what my name is so that he’ll look for my paper to know where I should be. So shy, I only pointed the door where I’m going. I’m such a loser! If only I had said my name, then maybe he’d remember the day we first met! *Ugh*
Just now, I’ve realized that letting him inject the vaccine on me would mean that he’d sign on my paper with his name and signature, leaving me his identity for me to search and stalk. But then, I was too shy. So, there it is. The end of our relationship. *<//3*
